Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Gastroenterology APP, you will provide direct patient clinical care and comprehensive health maintenance across all age groups so they can achieve optimal health outcomes through preventative education and effective chronic disease management.
Every day you will perform system examinations, initiate treatments based on clinical protocols, and document care within the health center’s reporting systems. You will be expected to collaborate with clinic physicians for patient referrals, provide age-appropriate patient education, and actively participate in performance improvement and epidemiological planning.
To be successful in this role, you must hold a current State license, possess the clinical expertise to conduct thorough physical exams (including well-child and adult physicals), and demonstrate a commitment to organizational safety, compliance, and ongoing professional development.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- Masters Of Nursing
- Advanced Practitioner Registerd Nurse:CA (APRN:CA)
- Basic Computer skills – familiarity with Windows based software programs
- Knowledge of nurse practitioner principles and techniques. Knowledge of methods ensuring safe working environment for patient, family and staff including using appropriate personal protection equipment. Demonstrated ability in the provision of care within field boundaries. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. Skill in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient information. Ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives and choose an appropriate course of action.
