Job Title: Mold Maintenance Technician
Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for preparing the molds for the Casting line. This work includes meticulous hand work and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.
- Hand polish molds
- Ensure dimensions and surface finish are maintained
- Use manual drill press
- Fill out required production documents
- Assemble molds
- Test molds for leaks
- Maintain clean/organized work area
- Preform other duties as required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to work both independently and as a team.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and comprehend basic English
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic math skills
- Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly.
- Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
- Able to work with and understand sensitive measuring equipment
Education & Experience:
- High school degree or GED equivalence.
- Experience die maintenance preferred.
- Crane and forklift experience preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification.
- Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment.
- Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment.
