About this role
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Before the PC, computing was locked inside big corporations. The hackers of Silicon Valley changed that: everyone got a computer, and everyone could build for it. The same should happen for robotics.
This stealth-stage company is building the platform that makes it possible: an intuitive, open, and affordable general-purpose robot for everyone. Backed by top-tier investors, the team is small, deeply technical, and building a product they themselves use. If you are going to work on something genuinely hard, it might as well matter.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This role covers a lot of ground. On any given day you might be laying out a PCB, designing a mechanical part, and writing firmware. It is a generalist mechatronics position for someone who has built and shipped before, feels confident working on a mass consumer product, and finds narrow, single-discipline roles limiting rather than appealing.
You will design and build the physical systems that make the robots work: electronics, mechanics, firmware, and everything in between. You will think about and shape the product alongside the rest of the team, and stay close to customer needs throughout.
WHAT YOULL DO

- Design mechanical parts and build rapid prototypes
- Write firmware in embedded C for microcontrollers
- Debug and develop in C and Python across the stack
- Contribute to product direction alongside the full team
- Stay close to customer needs and translate them into hardware decisions
YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Proven track record of building and shipping hardware products
- Hands-on PCB design experience including high-speed digital and power electronics
- Strong CAD skills and comfort with rapid prototyping
- Firmware development experience in embedded C on microcontrollers
- Ability to code and debug in C and Python
- A generalist mindset: comfortable owning problems across disciplines
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal, or injection molding
- RF or high-speed signal integrity experience
- Experience ordering parts, managing a BOM, and navigating supply chains
- FPGA development experience
