Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable Officer in this engaging permanent, part-time position working 20 hours per week based in our central Hamilton office. Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a motivated and reliable professional who combines technical expertise with a collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for their work.

In this role, you'll take ownership of critical accounts payable functions while contributing to continuous process improvements. You'll process supplier invoices and manage creditor payments with precision, maintain data integrity within our finance systems, and perform transaction reconciliations and expense coding. You’ll provide ad-hoc support to the finance team and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates initiative, and brings both independence and strong team collaboration skills to every task.

He kōrero mōu: About you

- Experience in accounts payable or a similar financial environment is preferred

- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

- Strong time management and ability to work to deadlines

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft 365 suite

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experience with TechnologyOne/FinanceOne would be an advantage

- Strong problem-solving skills

- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships
