About this role
NVIDIA has been transforming autonomous vehicle development for more than a decade—and today, simulation is the engine at the heart of it all. As the world races toward Level 4 autonomy, the ability to reconstruct real-world driving scenes, generate infinite synthetic scenarios, and validate AV policies across millions of virtual miles before a single vehicle touches the road has become the defining competitive advantage. NVIDIA is building the full stack that makes this possible: from NuRec neural reconstruction and Cosmos world foundation models to AlpaSim closed-loop evaluation and the Alpamayo ecosystem. Doing what's never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world's best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you'll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Want to make a difference? Come join our team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world!
As the Director of Simulation Product Management, you will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for NVIDIA's autonomous driving simulation platform. You will be the connective force between research, engineering, go-to-market, and our OEM and AV developer customers—shaping how the industry uses NVIDIA's simulation technology to reconstruct real-world driving data, generate safety-critical synthetic scenarios, and close the loop between AV policy training and real-world deployment. This role demands deep fluency in AV simulation workflows, sharp product instincts, and the leadership presence to align a world-class organization behind a clear and ambitious roadmap.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Define and own the long-term product vision and roadmap for NVIDIA's AV simulation platform—spanning neural reconstruction (NuRec), generative simulation (Cosmos Sim), synthetic data generation (Cosmos Transfer) data curation (Cosmos Curator and Dataset Search), and closed-loop policy evaluation (AlpaSim).
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from requirements definition through engineering execution and customer adoption, ensuring NVIDIA's simulation tools are the standard for AV development at scale.
- Build deep partnerships with OEMs, robotaxi operators, and AV software developers to understand their simulation pipelines, surface unmet needs, and co-develop platform capabilities that directly accelerate their path to safe deployment.
- Partner closely with research and engineering teams to translate fleet data workflows, sensor modeling requirements, and policy evaluation needs into well-scoped, executable product requirements.
- Establish and track key product and ecosystem metrics—scenario coverage, reconstruction fidelity, closed-loop evaluation throughput, and customer adoption—and use them to guide prioritization and communicate progress to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with go-to-market, developer relations, and solutions engineering to drive platform adoption, shape developer programs, and articulate the value of NVIDIA's simulation stack versus competing approaches.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers focused on AV simulation, establishing best practices and raising the bar for PM excellence across the organization.
- Represent NVIDIA's simulation vision at industry events, safety and standards forums, and executive briefings—communicating the technical depth and strategic importance of simulation to both engineering and business audiences.
What We Need to See:
- 12+ overall years of product management experience, with a strong track record of delivering complex technical platform products at scale.
- 4+ years in a senior or director-level PM role, with demonstrated experience leading and growing high-performing PM teams.
- Deep understanding of autonomous driving development workflows—including sensor data pipelines, closed-loop simulation, synthetic data generation, and safety validation methodologies.
- Hands-on familiarity with neural reconstruction, 3D Gaussian Splatting, or sensor simulation techniques, with the technical depth to engage credibly with research and engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build multi-year product strategy in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment, and to drive cross-functional execution against that strategy.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence and align across engineering, research, business development, and external partners.
- Experience building developer or enterprise platform products, with a clear understanding of how to grow adoption through APIs, SDKs, and open ecosystems.
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:
- Direct experience owning or contributing to a simulation platform at an AV company, OEM, or AV software developer—ideally across the full stack from scene reconstruction to closed-loop evaluation.
- Working knowledge of NVIDIA's AV simulation ecosystem, including NuRec, Cosmos, AlpaSim, or the Alpamayo model family.
- Familiarity with sim-to-real transfer challenges and the techniques—domain randomization, neural rendering, real-to-sim pipelines—used to close the gap between simulation and physical deployment.
- Experience with reinforcement learning workflows in simulation, including policy post-training and closed-loop RL frameworks such as AlpaGym.
- A track record of building developer ecosystems around simulation or physical AI platforms, including open-source programs, partner integrations, and community-driven adoption.
