This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your Secret clearance.
Serco supports the US Army as a prime contractor for their Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract which supports designing and integrating capabilities that enable the service to employ Command Posts (CP) across the operational spectrum. Our team develops, integrates, and maintains modern and mobile solutions for an integrated CP infrastructure.
You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systems and associated supporting documentation. The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program.
In this role, you will:
- Develop, organize, and write user guides, manuals, work instructions, training material, and other technical publications that are easy to understand.
- Copyedit and technical content review for accuracy.
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, bills of material, and configuration data.
- Develop detailed installation and assembly work instructions from incomplete or evolving engineering information.
- Work closely with subject matter experts, developers, and product managers to gather and interpret technical information.
- Create diagrams, charts, and other visuals to enhance user comprehension of complex topics.
- Apply a working knowledge of mechanical assemblies, electrical power distribution, wiring, connectors, communications/network equipment, and integrated hardware systems.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Active Secret Security Clearance
- US Citizenship
- a Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience
- OR a HS Diploma/GED and 11 years of experience
- Experience with Microsoft 365, graphic design software, and other advanced document processor and technical content publishing software.
- Demonstrated technical and mechanical proficiency
- The ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Experience with document development to military standards.
- Experience with graphic design software
- Understanding of an ISO 9001:205 QMS system

Salary range: The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This range is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels. Actual base salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations. For roles available in multiple states, the range may vary to reflect differences in local labor markets. In addition to base salary, eligible positions may include other forms of compensation such as annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities.
