About this role

Occupational Summary:

Technicians are responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards

*This position REQUIRES either completion of schooling, with an Automotive program, or previous experience as a lube tech.*

Essential Job Functions:

- Receive repair orders from Service Advisors and perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair

- Communicate with the Parts department to obtain needed parts.

- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.

- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required and inform Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.

- Document all work performed

- Road-test vehicles when required.

- Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean.

- Keep shop area neat and clean as well as be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Valid & active NYS Drivers License

- Previous experience and/or schooling in the Automotive Technician field preferred

- Possess your own tools

- Self-motivated but has the ability to work effectively with others

- Desire to grow and work in a fast paced environment

Hours:
3 day full-time work week, rotates every 4 weeks
730AM-9PM Mon/Tues/Wed following month 730AM-9PM Thurs/Fri/Sat

Physical Requirements:
Standing for most/all of shift
Lifting up until 50 pounds, several times during each shift and use hoist/test equipment as needed
Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling/Reaching/Twisting/Bending will be required throughout shift
