Opportunity Information

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Hematology/Oncology team in Jackson, CA!

Key Responsibilities

- Work alongside a collaborative team of oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff

- Provide care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative settings

- Manage patients with a variety of oncologic and hematologic conditions, including solid tumors, anemia, thrombocytopenia, coagulopathies, and more

- Participate in new patient consults, follow-up care, symptom management, treatment education, and survivorship planning

- Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment tools and have access to clinical trials and research support through the Sutter Institute for Medical Research (SIMR)

- Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case discussions

Qualifications

- Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program with appropriate national certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).

- California licensure eligibility and clearances (NP/PA licensure required).

- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment including patient/family interactions.

- Licensed and certified as a Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP, FNP) or Physician Assistant

- National certification required (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

- At least 1–2 years of experience in hematology/oncology or a related specialty strongly preferred
