The Opportunity:
As a knowledge management specialist supporting the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF‑401), you will contribute to our team’s mission to strengthen the Department of Defense’s counter‑unmanned aircraft systems (C‑UAS) enterprise and safeguard warfighters, critical infrastructure, and the homeland. Our role is to synchronize C‑UAS efforts across the defense and interagency community by integrating threat intelligence, emerging technologies, testing, acquisition, and training to ensure timely and effective defense against small UAS threats. By enhancing shared awareness of friendly and adversarial drone capabilities, identifying operational gaps, and accelerating the delivery of validated counter‑drone solutions, JIATF‑401 empowers commanders and mission partners with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to detect, track, and defeat hostile drones across diverse operational environments.

The analyst will enable timely, accurate, and accessible information sharing to support alignment of authorities and resources; accelerate delivery of Joint counter-small unmanned aircraft system (C-sUAS) capabilities; support the defeat of adversary threats; and promote sovereignty over national airspace.

The KM Analyst will design, sustain, and improve the organization’s knowledge-sharing environment; connect people to authoritative information and data; and improve leaders’ ability to make data-informed decisions. The position requires demonstrated experience using Maven Smart System (MSS) in an authorized environment and administering or supporting the organization’s current enterprise SharePoint environment.

Responsibilities:

•            Serve as the primary KM functional lead for information sharing, knowledge capture, collaboration, and records-aware content management across the organization.
•            Assess organizational information requirements, business processes, user needs, and decision cycles; recommend practical improvements to information access, data visibility, and knowledge flow.
•            Design and maintain information architectures, including site structures, navigation, metadata, taxonomies, content types, document libraries, permissions models, and lifecycle practices.
•            Administer and improve the organization’s SharePoint environment, including site configuration, access management, collaboration spaces, workflows, dashboards, lists, libraries, and user-support materials, consistent with applicable organizational policies.
•            Support authorized MSS users by helping define information requirements, organize data and reference content, improve user workflows, document repeatable processes, and facilitate training and adoption.
•            Coordinate with data owners, functional leads, system administrators, records personnel, security personnel, and other stakeholders to improve data quality, discoverability, accessibility, and accountability.
•            Establish and maintain knowledge-management governance processes, including content ownership, review cycles, version control, archival/disposition coordination, and identification of authoritative sources.
•            Develop and maintain executive-ready dashboards, recurring reports, knowledge products, and collaboration tools that improve situational awareness and decision support.
•            Identify duplicate, outdated, incomplete, or inaccessible information; recommend corrective actions and track resolution.
•            Develop and deliver role-based user training, job aids, standard operating procedures, and onboarding materials for SharePoint, MSS-related knowledge workflows, and other approved collaboration tools.
•            Measure KM program effectiveness using defined performance measures, such as content currency, search success, user adoption, training completion, time to locate authoritative information, and reduction of duplicative reporting.

•            Lead major KM improvement initiatives, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, implementation planning, testing coordination, user acceptance activities, and change-management support.
•            Provide technical and functional advice to leadership on KM strategy, data-informed decision support, collaboration practices, and technology-enabled process improvement.
•            Supervise, mentor, or quality-review the work of junior KM personnel, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

- 4 Yr Degree in IT or Relevant Field
- 7 years of Knowledge Management Experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting Maven Smart System (MSS) or a comparable authorized data-integration and decision-support environment, including user workflows, information organization, data stewardship, training, and adoption support.
- Demonstrated experience with the organization’s current enterprise SharePoint environment, for example, SharePoint Online or the designated enterprise deployment, including site administration, permissions, document libraries, metadata, content management, and collaboration features.
- At least five years of progressive knowledge management, information management, data governance, digital collaboration, or related organizational-information support experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining information architectures, taxonomies, metadata standards, content-management processes, and searchable knowledge repositories.
- Experience translating mission and business needs into practical KM processes, collaboration solutions, dashboards, reporting tools, or workflow improvements.
- Experience supporting data-informed decision-making through data quality practices, authoritative-source identification, performance metrics, and executive-ready knowledge products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop concise staff products, user guides, training materials, and leadership briefings.
- Ability to work across military, civilian, interagency, and contractor organizations while managing competing priorities and sensitive mission information.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the access required for the position.

Desired:

•            Seven or more years of progressive KM, information management, data governance, or digital transformation experience in a Joint, DoW, interagency, intelligence-community, or similarly complex enterprise environment.
•            Experience supporting a Joint task force, combatant command, headquarters staff, acquisition organization, or operational-support organization.
•            Demonstrated experience establishing or improving KM governance, including content ownership, review/approval workflows, records coordination, data standards, and performance measures.
•            Experience developing SharePoint-based solutions using approved no-code/low-code capabilities, such as lists, forms, workflows, dashboards, and automated notifications.
•            Experience integrating or aligning SharePoint knowledge repositories with approved data platforms, reporting tools, collaboration tools, or mission applications.
•            Experience planning and executing change-management activities for enterprise collaboration, data, or knowledge-management initiatives.
•            Experience facilitating communities of practice, after-action knowledge capture, lessons learned, and cross-functional information-sharing forums.
•            Relevant professional certifications in knowledge management, SharePoint, information governance, data analytics, change management, or project management.
