The Role
The candidate will be responsible for managing the O45 Maintenance Planning department, including but not limited to overseeing contractor coordination, maintenance projects, equipment leasing, maintenance planning, materials management, food services, office space capacity planning, architectural projects and real estate leasing. The position will require managing support for all facilities material and maintenance activities while adhering to purchasing and contractor coordinator requirements. The candidate will also be the lead for managing Maintenance and Facilities overhead spending, coordinating with Finance for reporting and analysis, and coordinating with other NNS leaders (including Project Management Office, Facilities Projects and Plant Engineering, Waterfront Support Services) to oversee and control Maintenance and Facilities overhead spending outside of O45.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master?s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Nice to Have
The candidate should possess strong leadership, project management, organizational and interpersonal skills and be familiar or versed in corporate and company policies and procedures related to contractor oversight, finance requirements, procurement, maintenance processes and real estate requirements. Candidate should have a solid foundation in Capital, Direct and Special-R project funding and authorization process to include PPM, SAP, and MS OFFICE systems for project tracking and management. Familiarity with facility operations including plant engineering, maintenance engineering, maintenance and repair, plant utility operations and lifting and handling operations is preferred. This position is required to work with all programs and operations at NNS, candidate should be well versed in ongoing operations across the plant and be able to match operational priorities with ongoing O45 work to ensure production impact is minimized. Possessing a PMP Certification is a plus. Experience in developing and maintaining large budgets in the range of $55M to $200M is also a plus.
