Title: Aquatics Coach

Department: Aquatics Supervisor: Aquatics Coordinator

Status: Part-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Pay: $20.00/hourly

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Position Summary: Responsible for coaching Camden County PSA swim team to prepare them for events and competitions. Maintains a variable schedule and works the required hours to meet the duties and responsibilities of this position which may include evening and weekend work.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

- Works with swim team during practices, events, and competitions

- Organize and plan swim meets

- Communicate with swim team parents about all matters pertaining to the swim team

- Maintain a work week of up to 29 hours

- Performs all other duties as related

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid/AED Certification

- USA Swim Certification

- Ability to work well with others

- Familiarity with using team unify

- Excellent communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to teach swim lessons

- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written form

- Exercises mature judgment and sound decision-making

- Self-motivation and the ability to deliver constructive criticism

- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, and students

Working Environment: Duties are primarily performed at Aquatics Center during morning, afternoons, nights and weekends. This position works closely with others as well as independently.

Physical Requirements: This position requires: the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; hand eye coordination; physical dexterity, and the ability to lift swimmers of various ages and sizes; must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED
