This role is based at our Burlington site, supporting our Lab Automation group. The facility is ISO 9001 certified. Our team designs, manufactures, and installs robotic solutions globally, accelerating drug discovery, research, and clinical testing for major pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Quality Specialist II and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. You will also collaborate with our internal team and vendors to drive continuous improvements across our products and processes. This includes analyzing non-conformance data to identify systemic issues and participating in corrective action initiatives.

What you will contribute:

- Perform Visual and Dimensional Inspection on the finished product, and ensure all nonconforming product(s) are identified and segregated appropriately

- Responsible for recording and documenting all inspection results

- Responsible for verifying samples and monitoring quality of components/ products manufactured by vendors

- Initiate NCR's for noncompliant products and Processes and actively participate in the follow-up and resolution

- Assist in writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

- Assist in Process audits, Vendor Qualification and Vendor audits
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience :

- HS Diploma plus 10+ experience preferred in quality inspections in manufacturing environment, metrology lab, GD&T and/or CMM,

- Some college preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

- Self-driven, demonstrated ownership and responsibility
- Able to work well within a team setting as well as independently
- Ability to organize and prioritize work tasks to meet deadlines and make independent decisions when necessary
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
- Ability to operate CMM and other basic measurement equipment/ instruments
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
- Strong communication skills are a key requirement (verbal/ written)
- Proficient in MS Office application suites
- Up to 10% local travel may be required
- Must be able to work various shifts to support manufacturing operations
- Physical requirements include standing/walking for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

Compensation
The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $62,100.00–$90,000.00.
