CLA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Digital team and help clients modernize, secure, and optimize their network environments.
This role serves as a trusted technical advisor, delivering secure, scalable, and resilient networking solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will partner with clients and project teams to lead network modernization initiatives, infrastructure transformations, cloud connectivity projects, M&A-related technology transitions, and security improvement efforts
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong consulting and communication skills and enjoys helping organizations solve complex networking and connectivity challenges.
About the role:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will:
- Lead the design, implementation, remediation, and support of client network infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Design and support Cisco and Meraki solutions including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, segmentation, and secure connectivity.
- Conduct network assessments, discovery workshops, infrastructure reviews, and modernization planning engagements.
- Lead network migration, integration, remediation, and infrastructure transformation projects.
- ·Support Azure networking solutions including virtual networks, VPN gateways, network security groups, hybrid connectivity, and Microsoft 365 network dependencies.
- Design and implement secure network architectures utilizing firewall technologies, Cisco Umbrella, network segmentation, 802.1X authentication, and secure remote access solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex performance, availability, authentication, wireless, routing, and security issues.
- Develop technical documentation including diagrams, standards, transition plans, inventories, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate directly with clients, vendors, carriers, managed service providers, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to fellow engineers.
- Contribute to automation and infrastructure modernization initiatives using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree required. A combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 4 years of relevant experience required. 6 years of experience preferred.
- Experience supporting network assessments, remediation planning, target-state design, infrastructure modernization, and M&A-related transition initiatives within consulting, managed services, systems integrator, or enterprise network engineering environments preferred.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Cisco, Meraki, Azure, Cisco Umbrella, security, or other relevant networking certifications preferred
