Join Johnson Controls in Augusta, Georgia, and help lead a truck-based HVAC service team that supports smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings. In this role, you will guide service execution, strengthen customer relationships, and support the team’s performance, development, and safety.
Role Overview
This position is responsible for service customer account leadership across a defined customer base, including labor and material growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee development. You will manage day-to-day service delivery, support staffing and performance needs, and help ensure safe, consistent execution of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and monitor gross margin and profitability goals for customer accounts, including planned service agreements and Labor & Materials (L&M) work.
- Drive L&M growth through Technicians and Team Leads.
- Lead execution of assigned service business, including warranty-related customer issues.
- Manage the procurement and maintenance of fleet and tools inventory.
- Ensure consistency of delivery systems through supervision and audits of Technicians, Customer Service Agents, and other service-delivery roles.
- Review and approve L&M quotations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and accounts payable/receivable activities.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including hiring, training, transitions, and day-to-day team performance management.
- Conduct formal performance reviews and address related employee issues.
- Account for safety performance and program compliance.

Qualifications
- Technical school training or equivalent experience in the HVAC or building controls industry.
- Three or more years of management experience in a similar service-deliverable environment.
- Strong ability to prioritize work activities, manage scheduling, and lead a diverse team.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic financial accounting experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products and a basic Windows environment.
Nice to Have
- Diploma in Electronic or Mechanical Systems.
- Two years of prior experience in the HVAC or building controls industry.
- Five or more years in a service management role directing a similar service-deliverable team.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $92,400-$115,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
