Your Role
The Communications and Corporate Citizenship team is responsible for the reputation of Ascendiun and its Family of Companies with all audiences—internal and external. The Director, Corporate Communications (Media Relations & Crisis Management) will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications. In this role you will lead a team that supports media relations, crisis communications for the Family of Companies.
The Director may also be called upon to lead special initiatives and additional portfolios of work as needed. Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience in strategic communications, including a
demonstrated track record of providing advice and counsel to management, developing and executing successful communications strategies and programs
- Requires 6 years of prior people management experience with direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports
- Requires strong interest in health care and the ability to create thoughtful, original content.
- Requires broad understanding of all facets of communication, including knowledge and
- understanding of social media
- Requires experience in strategic communications, including a demonstrated track record of providing advice and counsel to management, developing and executing successful communications strategies and programs
- Requires excellent verbal and presentation skills, executive presence, professionalism, and ability to influence C-level executives and build partnerships at all levels
- Requires seasoned project management skills with ability to develop and execute multiple end- to-end programs concurrently with little oversight
Hybrid
This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.
Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
