Job Summary:
Assembles, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding systems to support safe and efficient access for construction and maintenance activities. Applies technical knowledge to interpret plans, assess site conditions, and ensure scaffolds meet project requirements and safety standards. Works collaboratively with crew members to maintain productivity, adapt to site conditions, and promote a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Erects, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding systems according to project specifications and safety requirements.
Inspects scaffold components and assembled structures for stability, alignment, and compliance with applicable standards.
Interprets plans, blueprints, and work orders to perform scaffold installations accurately and efficiently.
Coordinates with team members and leadership to plan tasks and address site-specific access needs.
Maintains scaffolding materials, tools, and safety equipment in proper working condition.
Identifies and reports unsafe conditions, damaged components, or potential hazards to supervision promptly.
Documents work performed, including inspection results and materials used, to support project tracking and safety compliance.
Education Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
2–4 years of experience in scaffolding, construction, or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification required.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
Scaffold Competent Person Certification preferred.
