For 30 years, Casa Pacifica has been helping at-risk children, their families, and young adults thrive.
As the largest non-profit provider of childrens and adolescent mental health services in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, Casa Pacifica specializes in treating children and young adults who struggle with complex mental health challenges such as emotional dysregulation, self-harm, anxiety, and depression. Our multi-disciplinary staff of highly trained clinicians, psychologists, educators, therapists and mental health workers provide exceptional, evidence-based care to help our youth overcome a wide array of mental health challenges.
Casa Pacificas Camarillo, Goleta, and Santa Maria offices work with more than 2,000 at-risk children, families, and young adults annually in outpatient, residential, home, and community-based settings. Our main Camarillo campus, located on 25 acres of beautiful park-like grounds, provides a nurturing and therapeutic environment for youth to overcome challenges, to find hope, and to heal.

SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Clinical Program Director, is responsible for providing and implementing the clinical therapy component of the overall treatment plan. Clinician I will manage cases of assigned clients within their assigned program.
The Clinician I upholds Casa Pacifica's Standards of Behavior and embodies our core values of respect, integrity, compassion, and courage, as it relates to on-going clinical assessment, evaluation and progress of the youth within Casa Pacifica.
Starting pay is typically $75,000 annually.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of referred youth and families to identify strengths, needs, and risk factors.
- Develop individualized treatment and discharge plans in collaboration with the youth, family members, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Implement evidence-based interventions designed to address treatment goals including but not limited to individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and crisis intervention.
- Collaborates with Mental Health Workers, education staff, health clinic staff, parent partners, youth advocates, families and youth to provide comprehensive clinical care for the youth and to ensure program consistency and continuity throughout the day.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills.
- Attend outside training events and conferences as requested.
- Maintains compliance with all local, County, State, and Federal government regulations to include Title 22, Division 6, and prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Maintains confidentiality in all matters within the organization with respect to personnel, operations and clients.
- May perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Position requires staff must be at least 21 years of age. Completed and cleared Livescan, criminal statement, health screening with TB test. Must undergo a one-hour training which reviews mandatory reporting requirements as per Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA). This training takes place during pre-service orientation training and periodically thereafter.
Valid drivers license is required for transporting youths. Any changes that occurs on your driving record must be reported immediately to your supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :
Masters level, registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) with up to 3 years of experience working with severely emotionally disturbed youth including competency in completing comprehensive biopsychosocial leading to a DSM diagnosis and treatment, and behavior management.
CREDENTIALS: Must be eligible to register with BBS/APA as APCC, AMFT, ASW, or MFTI.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
- Ability to use various computers Software, Microsoft Office Suites.
- Bilingual in Spanish, a plus. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Language Skills : Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to write comprehensive evaluations and progress notes/ reports on youths treatment goals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
