Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Access Coordinator, you will ensure the smooth daily operations of admissions and registration, providing oversight of error, audit, and productivity reports. You will serve as the technical expert for multiple system interfaces, tracking and analyzing trends to develop and deliver effective staff training. Acting as a liaison among the Business Office, IT, and clinical teams, you will troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate staffing needs to supervisors or managers. Every day, you will manage priorities, address service or equipment concerns, and maintain alignment among various stakeholders to ensure a positive patient experience. You will also provide input for associate evaluations, engage in committee work, and lead or support project initiatives to enhance Patient Access processes and outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, while keeping a keen eye on accuracy and improvements. Most importantly, your collaborative approach will foster a supportive environment that ensures high standards of patient care and satisfaction in all you do.

- Oversees staff assigned error report management and tracking as part of data flow and quality.

- Responsible for generating reports and statistical data relative to quality measurements, productivity, and collections.

- Resolves/researches Patient Access department errors on multiple systems.

- Identifies trends and develops/coordinates/provides training for new associates and associates that fall beneath established standards.

- Participates in the development and delivery of training protocols and competency assessments.

- Educates and verifies that the staff adhere to hospital and departmental policies.

Job Requirements

Required

- High School Diploma/G.E.D.

- One (1) year applicable experience

Preferred

- CHAA certification or obtained within one (1) year of hire (as applicable)
