Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medication Aide to join our healthcare team at the Marathon County Jail in Wisconsin .
This position is ideal for someone looking to supplement their income while maintaining a predictable schedule.
๐ Your Schedule
- One 8-hour shift every other Saturday
- One 8-hour shift every other Sunday
- One 8-hour morning shift during the week
๐ Certified Medication Aides are preferred, but certification is not required. We will also consider qualified LPN candidates and individuals with relevant healthcare and medication administration experience.
๐ What You'll Do
- Provide medication administration and medication pass services within your scope of practice and training
- Prepare and organize medications accurately
- Monitor patients and report changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Maintain accurate medication records and patient documentation
- Support daily healthcare operations and the nursing team
- Follow established medication administration procedures and clinical protocols
- Provide compassionate and professional patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Promote a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualifications
๐ What You'll Need
LPN Candidates:
- Current LPN license in the state of Wisconsin
- Current CPR certification
- Previous nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Medication Aide Candidates:
- Medication Aide certification preferred, but not required
- Previous medication administration, healthcare, caregiving, CNA, or medical assistant experience preferred
- Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain as required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional environment
