MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Manage source control workflows using Git, including branching and merging strategies.
- Build, maintain, and modify CI/CD release pipelines (using Jenkins or Bamboo) and build automation (using Maven or Gradle) across Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
- Act as technical lead for an Agile team by participating in planning, grooming, demonstrations, and retrospectives, and bridging requirements across stakeholders, developers, and support teams.
- Perform system administration, monitoring, instrumentation, and performance tuning across enterprise Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows environments to support system resiliency and high availability.
- Provision and configure application infrastructure and deployments using Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Software Defined Networking (SDN).Configure and maintain caching and messaging middleware (Memcached, ActiveMQ, Redis) to support application throughput.
- Manage database deployment infrastructure (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Elasticsearch environments (including Kibana).
- Set up containerized and serverless deployment environments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes (including RKE2).
- Apply security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, and government compliance standards (e.g., NIST, RMF, STIGs) across platform and PaaS environments.
- Troubleshoot complex issues by reading code logic, analyzing architecture, isolating defects, and automating manual operational processes.
- Develop, maintain, and review automation scripts using languages such as Python, Java, Go, Ruby, or Shell.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in technical field with a minimum of ten (10) years of related systems, cloud, devops, or IT engineering experience.
- Experience managing and monitoring AWS cloud infrastructure and enterprise Linux environments (such as RHEL or CentOS).
- Experience building continuous integration and automated deployment pipelines using configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) and container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Git version control and writing scripts or application code in at least one object-oriented or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Ruby).
- Ability to read application logic to assist in technical troubleshooting and defect isolation across systems.
- Experience communicating across cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with, or knowledge of the following: VMware, Rancher Kubernetes Engine (RKE2), and serverless deployments.

- Kafka, NiFi, and data flow lifecycle management.
- Jenkins, Bamboo, Maven, Gradle, and Shell scripting.
- PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
- Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
- PCI compliance standards and firewall configurations.

Clearance Requirements

- An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Physical Requirement s

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering technical presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $165,900.00-$295,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
