About this role
Purpose
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and organized warehouse inventory tasks. This role performs inventory putaway, replenishment, cycle counts, and general warehouse organization, while supporting lean time material flow practices. The Inventory Coordinator will also cross‑train and assist in other warehouse functions including sample fulfillment as operational needs require.
Essential Functions
Key activities and duties are listed below, but additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified according to business needs.
- Perform putaway of inbound materials to designated storage locations while verifying item accuracy, quantity, and condition.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and participate in full physical inventory counts as scheduled.
- Execute lean time replenishment activities to ensure pick locations are consistently stocked.
- Monitor min/max levels and initiate replenishment based on established parameters.
- Performs other general warehouse duties as needed.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Must be self-motivated and operate with a sense of urgency to meet tasks deadlines.
- Experienced in the use of warehouse scanning technology equipment and systems.
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast paced and high-volume work environment.
- It must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to multi-task.
- High School graduate or equivalent. Relevant job experience can be substituted for the required education based on one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
W orking Conditions (environment)
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
- Able to operate material handling equipment, power tools, shrink wrapping equipment, and other tools.
- The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
- Ability to exert 10-50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
