Title: Global Privacy Co-Op Student (8-month contract, January-August 2027)
Overview: Support the Global Privacy Office with privacy program operations, data governance, regulatory readiness, and privacy risk management. The role will provide hands-on experience across enterprise data mapping, AI governance, vendor privacy, and privacy reporting.
What the Role is about:
- Support MAGs enterprise data mapping and privacy inventory work by gathering information from business teams and systems that process personal information to create data flow documentation.
- Support MAG's AI Governance by assisting with ethical use reviews, documenting governance decisions, and helping implement responsible AI oversight processes.
- Support vendor privacy and third-party risk management activities by organizing vendor records, tracking privacy assessments and data processing agreements, and maintaining evidence required for ongoing oversight.
- Organize and improve Privacy Office knowledge resources, including templates, playbooks, guidance materials, SharePoint content, and recurring process documentation.
- Provide general project coordination and support for privacy initiatives, including meeting preparation, action tracking, document management, and stakeholder follow-up.
Who we are looking for:
Qualifications, Education, & Experience
- Currently enrolled in a university or college co-op program in privacy, law, business, information management, information systems, cybersecurity, data governance, public policy, or a related discipline.
- An interest in privacy, responsible AI, technology governance, compliance, or risk management.
- Experience conducting research, organizing information, analyzing processes, or preparing written reports through coursework, employment, or extracurricular activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Power BI, Visio, or other data visualization and process-mapping tools is an asset but is not required.
- Previous office, project coordination, compliance, legal, technology, or data-related experience is an asset but is not required.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate detailed information into clear, practical, business-friendly materials.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including the ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and follow-up requirements.
- Highly organized and comfortable working with structured data, spreadsheets, inventories, trackers, and process documentation.
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable asking questions and working with stakeholders across Legal, IT, Security, HR, Marketing, Procurement, and other business functions.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate questions or seek direction.
