Pay: $80,000 - $85,000 per year

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm; hybrid work opportunity

Full-Time position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. In addition, these positions are eligible for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, holiday, floating holiday, jury duty, and bereavement leave. JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager III, Content, Social and Community Strategy serves as Goodwill of Colorado's strategic leader for content, social media, digital storytelling, and online community engagement. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated content and community strategies that strengthen brand affinity, deepen audience relationships, and support organizational priorities across retail, donations, workforce development, philanthropy, and mission services.

In an increasingly competitive landscape where consumers, donors, job seekers, and community members have more choices than ever, this role helps ensure Goodwill remains relevant, trusted, and culturally connected. By transforming organizational goals into compelling stories, meaningful conversations, and memorable experiences, the Manager drives awareness, engagement, loyalty, and measurable business and mission outcomes.

A successful Manager combines strategic leadership with creative excellence, leveraging audience insights, content strategy, social media, community engagement, analytics, and emerging technologies to build meaningful relationships with diverse audiences. They establish standards, processes, and governance for content and community management while fostering innovation and ensuring brand consistency across all digital and social touchpoints.

Working collaboratively across the organization, this role partners with Retail Operations, Community Impact, Workforce Development, Human Resources, Business Development, Retail Leadership, and Development teams to advance organizational objectives through integrated storytelling and engagement strategies. The Manager also leads and directs external agencies, freelance creators, influencers, and production partners to deliver high-quality content and campaigns that elevate Goodwill's visibility, reputation, and impact throughout Colorado.

Success in this role is measured not only by audience growth and engagement, but by the ability to translate content and community-building efforts into tangible organizational outcomes, including retail traffic, donor participation, fundraising support, talent acquisition, program awareness, and long-term brand strength.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Content Strategy and Creation:

- Develop and manage a cross-channel content strategy (social, blog, website, video, email, etc.) that supports brand and organizational goals.

- Collaborate with designers, writers, and videographers to produce high-quality content.

- Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all channels.

- Lead content-related project management across the Customer Experience team, ensuring alignment on timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration for campaigns, launches, and storytelling initiatives.

- Optimize content for SEO, engagement, and shareability.

- Manage and make strategic recommendations for website experience, including managing the vendor in the development and maintenance of the site.

- Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns that support brand, development, community engagement, and community program visibility.

- Develop human-first content. Sharing stories that translate into emotionally resonant narratives that educate, inspire, and build trust.

- Responsible for developing content that centers on the human experience.

- Work collaboratively across departments to promote organizational initiatives, events, and mission impact stories.

- Contribute and participate in special events such as the Annual Dinner, An Enchanted Weekend, fundraisers, grand openings, open houses, board/staff events, etc.

Video Strategy and Production:

- Lead and oversee the strategy, development, and execution of video content across channels, ensuring alignment with brand voice and organizational goals.

- Develop video concepts for brand and mission storytelling, fundraising initiatives, social campaigns, and event coverage.

- Oversee full video production pipeline, including creative direction, scripting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and editing supervision.

- Produce in-house video content when needed (short-form, reels, recaps, interviews).

- Collaborate with internal teams to support storytelling needs with video, ensuring accessibility and platform-optimized delivery (e.g., captioning, sizing).

- Manage relationships with external video editors, motion designers, and production vendors.

- Maintain video asset library and ensure efficient distribution across platforms.

Social Media Management:

- Own the day-to-day content strategy for all social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.).

- Plan and publish social content calendars in alignment with campaigns, and brand moments.

- Monitor social trends and community sentiment.

- Track and report on key performance metrics and adjust strategies based on insights.

Influencer Management:

- Develop influencer strategy aligned with organizational goals, managing their content development, the relationship and strategic use of their content.

- Gather and analyze data, sharing with leadership and making recommendations based on insights and key learnings.

- Identify, engage, and manage influencer relationships (macro to micro).

- Oversee influencer content development, approvals, and deliverables.

Education:

- A Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, and/or related field is required.

Experience:

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in content marketing, social media, and/or influencer management (agency or in-house).

- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.

- Strong project management and communication skills.

- Experience working with creators/influencers at various levels (macro to micro).

- Passion for digital storytelling, creativity, and internet culture.

- Graphic design, video editing, or photography skills.

- Proven track record of driving social and digital marketing strategy and content creation best practices and passion for exploring evolving trends and opportunities to support organization objectives.

- Proven experience leading video production from concept to completion, including scripting, creative direction, production coordination, editing oversight, and platform-specific optimization for social, fundraising, and event-related content.

Preferred Tools:

- Social media platforms (Meta Suite, TikTok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn).

- Social media scheduling and analytics tools (preferably Sprout Social).

- Influencer tools.

- Project Management Tools (preferably Monday.com).

- Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or other content tools.

- Google Analytics, Looker, or similar reporting tools.

Other:

- Familiarity with execution of paid digital campaigns (including traditional, paid search, paid social, digital display, and native advertising), search engine optimization, email campaigns, and influencer engagement programs.

- Strong writing skills including short-form copywriting skills, website copy, social media copy and press releases with ability to flex across channels and style to reflect the brand voice.

- An eye for great design, understanding of basic design principles, and ability to develop creative across channels.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to form strategic recommendations and program optimizations based on data, industry trends, and best practices.

- Effectively manage time, budgets, and project work plans to ensure deadlines are met.

- Superb cross functional collaborator with the ability to build strong working relationships and clearly communicate ideas and project updates to colleagues.

- Willingness to embrace a culture of continuous learning and drive innovation in an organization that is evolving.

- It is preferred that the incumbent have the ability to drive for company business*.
