A Brief Overview
The Support Group Facilitator is someone who will be compassionately dedicated to facilitate group sessions for individuals in need of support and guidance. This role requires someone who can manage a flexible schedule, sometimes daytime and evening hours, can be weekday or weekends depending on the project/program being supported. The facilitator will play a key role in helping participants through group discussions and activities, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
This role is expected to work 4 hours per month.
What you will do
- Facilitate group discussion to foster community and connection between participants.
- Establish open lines of communication for individuals attending the group.
- Provide support and guidance to group participants through group discussion and activities.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a positive group atmosphere and ensure consistency in the delivery of services.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about best practices in group facilitation and client care.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED Required
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in human services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or a related field) Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- At least two (2) years Previous experience facilitating groups or working with vulnerable populations. Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to engage and manage group discussions in a respectful and inclusive manner. (Required proficiency)
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. (Required proficiency)

SALARY RANGE:
$28.05 - $35.05 Hourly
Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
