Position Summary/ Objective
The role of the Warehouse Manager is to oversee all operations involving the Warehouse, to support and participate in continuous improvement of our organization. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of material, ensuring accurate inventory levels, timely order fulfillment, optimizing space utilization, and maintaining safety standards by managing staff and adhering to company policies and quality standards. This position is for permanent and full-time employment to work within the state of Massachusetts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving merchandise from our vendors, ensuring shipping accuracy (physically opening boxes to check for correct quantities, correct material and correct order details – matching packing slips to received materials) before placing them on shelf and sending them up to PM’s.
- Familiarity with complex electrical inventory, including switchgear, conduits, wire types and specialized tools is a plus.
- Documenting and labeling merchandise entering/exiting Warehouse.
- Identifying any missing or damaged materials and immediately notifying Purchasing.
- Manage and supervise warehouse assistants and drivers.
- Delegate tasks to assistants and drivers (warehouse cleanliness, organization of PO materials, etc.)
- Assisting loading and offloading material into trucks, vans, and on-site vehicles.
- Scanning labels and packing slips into designated folders/emails to PM’s.
- Scheduling regular maintenance on dedicated shop vehicles and equipment/ordering emergency repairs as needed.
- Coordinating efficient routes and transportation schedules for delivery manifest.
- Picking/staging stock as needed.
- Communicate with Project Managers and Foremen as required.
- Communicating with Field Staff - Tracking tools using Asset Tracking software (signing in/out).
- Generator support maintenance as needed.
- Regular 160 Olympia yard maintenance as needed (organizing building yard, snow-removal, salting walkways during snowstorms, assisting in other weather-related tasks).
- Participates as part of the building’s emergency triage response team.
- Working closely with Purchasing Manager/Operations to make sure the materials needed are getting to the sites. Tools are being located and delivered as needed and Warehouse is organized.
- Has DOT card or willing to obtain one.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely, or willingness to complete company-provided forklift training and certification.
- Other duties as needed (must be able to lift > 50lbs).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Hours are to be from 7a-3:15p – Monday-Friday
- This is a full-time hourly position.
- Employee is expected to work an identified schedule every day.
Supervisor Responsibility
- This position has direct supervisor responsibilities:
- Warehouse Assistant(s).
- Van/Truck Driver

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
Workplace Environment
Environmental & Working Conditions: The Warehouse position is primarily performed in a warehouse and storage environment, with occasional work outdoors and at company jobsites or facilities. The employee may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, moving equipment, and other typical warehouse and material-handling conditions. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment. Employees may work around forklifts, pallet jacks, delivery vehicles, generators, electrical equipment, and other warehouse machinery. Employees are expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and safely handle materials is essential.
Manual Duties/Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry items a minimum of 50 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, bend, reach overhead, kneel and balance to meet the physical requirements of this position.
Work is often done in a time-sensitive and demanding environment. There are often important deadlines and the requirement to coordinate work on multiple complex assignments at the same time.
