Job Summary:**
VALEO NORTH AMERICA is seeking motivated and enthusiastic CO-OP/INTERN- INDUSTRIAL candidates to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will support various industrial engineering initiatives, contributing to process optimization, efficiency improvements, and lean manufacturing principles.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Assist in the analysis of manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
* Support the implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events.
* Participate in time studies and work sampling to establish standard work and optimize production cycles.
* Contribute to the design and optimization of workstation layouts and material flow.
* Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Assist in the development and implementation of new manufacturing procedures and best practices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and engineering.
* Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and findings.
* Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
Job Qualifications:**
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools is a plus.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated initiative and a strong desire to learn.
* Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
