Position Summary

As the Warehouse Logistics Support Specialist, you will be the onsite McKesson representative supporting a key retail pharmacy.  You will serve as the primary point of contact for out-of-state retail logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate courier services for pharmacy deliveries. You will help keep time-sensitive pharmacy packages moving accurately and efficiently while building trusted relationships, resolving delivery issues, and communicating clearly with customer contacts and courier partners.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing position for someone who is dependable, flexible, proactive, and comfortable working independently. Up to 80% of the role involves physical warehouse work and the remaining portion will be administrative: researching, tracking, reporting, and customer communication. If you enjoy hands-on warehouse work and take pride in delivering an excellent customer experience, this role offers the opportunity to do both!

What You Will Do

Hands-On Warehouse and Shipping Operations

- Sort packages, build shipping boxes, pack and palletize shipments, and prepare packages for daily FedEx pickup.
- Load, move, and stage packages safely and accurately within the warehouse shipping area.
- Audit packages before courier handoff to confirm accuracy and help reduce delivery errors and re-shipments.
- Monitor shipping supplies, identify shortages, and coordinate replenishment to support uninterrupted daily operations.
- Support production, mail, and other warehouse work areas when operational coverage is needed.
- Follow established safety practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), customer requirements, and company policies.

Customer Service and Issue Resolution

- Serve as the primary onsite McKesson contact for the customer and represent the company with professionalism, urgency, and a service-first mindset.
- Respond to customer and store questions regarding shipment status, delivery concerns, and logistics needs.
- Research tracking information and resolve late, missing, damaged, or discrepant package issues.
- Communicate service risks, shipping concerns, and operational updates promptly to customer contacts, courier partners, account managers, and McKesson leadership.
- Build productive working relationships with customer teams and courier partners while adapting to changing priorities and service needs.

Courier Coordination, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

- Monitor and coordinate courier performance across FedEx, UPS, USPS, and other applicable delivery partners.
- Track pickups and deliveries and escalate missed pickups, delays, or recurring service issues.
- Complete required invoicing, service-level agreement (SLA), on-time delivery, and exception reports accurately and on schedule.
- Use Microsoft Excel and carrier websites or shipping applications to download reports, research shipments, and document findings.
- Assist with investigations of lost or missing packages and coordinate return-to-sender packaging supplies.
- Recommend practical updates to SOPs and courier methods of procedure (MOPs) to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.

What Will Help You Succeed

- Customer-first mindset: You communicate professionally, listen carefully, and follow through on commitments.
- Hands-on work ethic: You are willing and able to spend most of the day sorting, packing, building boxes, palletizing, standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ownership and reliability: You are comfortable serving as the onsite McKesson representative and working independently with remote leadership and peer support.
- Adaptability: You remain positive and responsive when priorities, shipment volumes, or customer needs change.
- Problem solving: You can investigate an issue, determine an appropriate course of action, and communicate the resolution clearly.
- Attention to detail: You understand that package accuracy, documentation, and timely escalation are essential in pharmacy logistics.

Minimum Requirements

- Typically requires 3+ years of customer-facing experience, with demonstrated experience communicating directly with customers and resolving service or delivery issues.
- Ability and willingness to perform physical warehouse duties for approximately 80% of the workday.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds and to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, pack, and palletize.
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications, carrier websites, email, and web-based shipping or tracking systems.
- Ability to work the required onsite schedule, including Saturdays.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with or for FedEx, or another shipping or courier provider.
- Warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, package handling, pharmacy logistics, or retail operations experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, or basic data review.
- Experience with GlobalShip or a comparable shipping management application.
- Experience monitoring service-level agreements, delivery performance, or shipment exceptions.
- Experience improving work instructions, SOPs, or shipping processes.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

- 100% onsite at the customer location; this role is not remote or hybrid.
- Work is performed primarily in a warehouse and production environment, with some time in an office area.
- Regular walking and standing, with frequent bending, reaching, packing, box building, palletizing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to safely perform essential warehouse and shipping responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule and Compensation

Required schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Regular days off are Friday and Sunday.
