As a Field Engineer, you will serve as a key interface between Baker Hughes, offshore operations teams, and customers. This role is designed for early-career and entry-level engineering talent seeking to develop technical and operational expertise in offshore environments. Working closely with experienced teams, you will gain hands-on exposure to field operations, customer engagement, service delivery, and Baker Hughes technologies supporting offshore projects in Guyana. Approximately 60% of the role will involve office and customer-facing responsibilities and 40% offshore field activities.
As a Field Engineer , you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with crew members to deploy tools and services, including liaison with customers and shore-based Operations Managers.
- Participating in solving complex technical challenges through hands-on work in offshore field environments.
- Preparing, documenting, receiving, and managing equipment and products moving to and from offshore worksites.
- Supporting tenders, data analysis, cost estimates, and invoicing activities.
- Learning Baker Hughes technologies, operational processes, and service delivery standards through hands-on field and office-based experience.
- Building technical knowledge and operational expertise while supporting offshore projects and customer operations.
- Supporting offshore assignments that may extend up to 28 days based on business requirements.
- Collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline such as Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geology, Geosciences, or a related technical field.
- Be an early-career professional or recent graduate interested in developing a career in offshore operations and energy technology.
- Have 0 to 5 years of related engineering, technical, internship, co-op, or field experience.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in offshore work and field operations.
- Possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership, critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Show learning agility, coachability, and the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
- Be willing to relocate to Guyana for a minimum of two years.
- Be legally authorized to work in Guyana or otherwise meet applicable employment requirements.
