Base Wage: $25.46 per hour.

Position Summary
The FSQA Tech supports the facilitys food safety and quality assurance programs by conducting product audits, monitoring and verifying HACCP controls, performing sampling and data analysis, and supporting daily quality and food safety decisions. This role partners with employees and production management to maintain product standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Core Duties
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all applicable sanitation procedures, process guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct product quality audits and perform daily monitoring and verification activities outlined in the HACCP program, recommending corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Perform microbiological and analytical sampling of products and the production environment as required.
- Support daily quality and food safety decision-making using established processes to ensure products meet Greenleaf Foods, Maple Leaf Foods, and customer requirements.
- Complete data entry and data analysis accurately.
- Prepare samples and participate in sensory evaluations.
- Provide support and coaching to employees and production management to maintain and improve facility quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Participate in projects, meetings, system updates, and continuous improvement initiatives that advance food safety and product quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Work in hot and cold production environments and in areas that may be wet or humid.
- Stand and walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift, plus any required overtime.
- Use hands extensively and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Bend, reach, twist, and lift repeatedly, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Work safely around moving equipment and within active food manufacturing areas.
- Maintain attention to detail while managing competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow all required safety, sanitation, food safety, and personal protective equipment procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a HACCP-recognized facility in a food safety or quality assurance role.
- FSQA experience in food processing or manufacturing is highly preferred; familiarity with WSDA and FDA product standards is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems; SAP experience is highly desired.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work independently, manage competing demands, and adapt to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
