Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.
- Prepare and room patients by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and presenting concerns; assist with examinations and patient mobility as needed.
- Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, EKGs, basic laboratory testing, and administration of approved medications under provider supervision.
- Support accurate clinical documentation by updating electronic medical records, entering patient history, diagnoses, prescriptions, education, referrals, and follow-up instructions, while reviewing records for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with orders, test results, and referrals by pending laboratory and radiology orders for provider approval, reviewing clinical data, communicating results as directed, and coordinating referrals and appointments.
- Maintain efficient clinic operations by coordinating patient flow, scheduling appointments, preparing and sterilizing instruments, keeping exam rooms clean and stocked, and maintaining adequate supplies and equipment.
- Provide exceptional patient and administrative support through clear telephone communication, patient education, insurance verification, registration, billing and collection duties as needed, while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Required
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
- Certificate Other completion of a Medical Assistant certification program at an accredited institution or validation of equivalent military training (i.e. Hospital Corpsman) that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities. , upon hire and
- Medical Assistant Certification: WA, upon hire and
- American Heart Assoiation Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- 1-3 years One year of work experience as a Medical Assistant, upon hire
