Summary of Position

This pivotal role advances our mission to provide exceptional, evidence-based care. The Medical Director oversees psychiatric services, including psychopharmacology, PMHNP supervision, and rTMS therapy. Responsibilities include staff management, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and staff training. Additionally, this position supports business development through community outreach, events, and content contributions for media and social media, while driving quality improvement and enhancing mental health awareness and access to care.

Essential Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership:

- Provide clinical leadership and oversight in the delivery
of psychiatric services.
- Directly contribute to the development and implementation
of treatment plans for patients.
- Staff management of PMHNPs, TMS Techs and front office
admin.

Psychopharmacology:

- Prescribe and manage medication regimens for patients
with psychiatric disorders.
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in
psychopharmacology to ensure the highest standard of care.

PMHNP Supervision:

- Supervise psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners,
providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure quality care delivery.
- Conduct clinical meetings, didactics, chart review.
- Conduct treatment planning, manage pharmacological
interventions, build patient rapport, address patient concerns/complaints.
- Co-sign clinical notes of supervised PMHNPs in DrChrono,
as required.

RTMS Therapy:

- Oversee the application of Repetitive Transcranial
Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) therapy for eligible patients.
- Stay informed about best practices and emerging evidence
in the use of rTMS for various psychiatric conditions.

Compliance

- Maintain clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to
ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance
the overall quality of care provided.
- Participate in compliance initiatives and ensure
compliance in all capacities.

Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals,
including psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, social workers, and other
members of the interdisciplinary team, to provide comprehensive care to
patients.

Education and Training:

- Provide education and training to site staff members on
relevant clinical topics, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional
development within the organization.
- Attend and participate in the monthly NWS provider
meeting.

Community Outreach and Engagement:

- Represent the organization in professional settings and
engage with community stakeholders to promote awareness of mental health issues
and available treatment options.
- Request patient reviews, surveys and
testimonials, when appropriate.
- Participate in ideas and content
generation for media features including articles, blogs, social media and more.

Education & Experience

- Board-certified Medical Doctor (“MD”)
or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (“DO”) with a current, active Drug
Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) license in California.
- Experience
in evidence-based psychopharmacology and medication management.
- Experience managing time effectively with high volume
care.

principles of communication; verbal and written, to deal with all levels of
personnel.
- Ability to adapt to change in clinical
practices, regulations and patient needs.

player in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting as the company grows.
- Ability to work
independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong diagnostic
skills and comprehensive understanding of medical best practices.

Compensation:

- $400,000 - $450,000 per year.

Schedule:

- Monday through Friday.
