MISSION OF THE ROLE
The position will report to the SVP and Chief Strategy Officer & Global Commercial Excellence with significant exposure to the Executive Leadership Team, including the CEO, CFO, Regional Presidents and other marketing and functional presidents. This position will lead high profile Corporate Planning and Corporate Strategy initiatives, through the development of Suntory Global Spirits mid- long term strategies, alignment of the planning processes, and by designing and implementing a range of high-profile, cross-organizational efforts that support the development and implementation of the strategies. The candidate will be able to act as a lead and strategic facilitator of global strategy leadership team and communities that brings thought leadership, strategic thinking, analytic rigor, project management and overall excellence to Suntory Global Spirits high priority initiatives and drive to outcome.

Role Responsibilities

1. Shape Enterprise Strategy
• Lead the development of Suntory Global Spirits' mid- and long-term enterprise strategy
• Architect and continuously evolve the Company's global strategic planning process
• Facilitate enterprise-wide strategic planning with the Executive Leadership Team, Regional Presidents, and functional leaders
• Drive alignment across corporate, regional, functional, and commercial strategies to advance enterprise priorities
• Bring external market, consumer, competitive, and industry insights to inform enterprise strategy and long-term growth opportunities
• Guide the development of enterprise-wide functional strategies, including Supply Chain, to ensure alignment with the Company's long-term growth ambitions and strategic priorities
• Shape the Company's corporate development strategy by identifying and assessing inorganic growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and portfolio optimization initiatives that support long-term value creation

2. Accelerate Strategic and Sustainable Growth
• Lead enterprise growth strategy across priority categories, brands, commercial capabilities, and strategic growth platforms, encompassing both organic and inorganic growth opportunities
• Partner with Global Marketing, Global Commercial Excellence, Regional leadership, and functional leaders to shape long-term growth strategies
• Facilitate the development of enterprise growth platforms, including global category strategies (e.g., Global Whiskey, RTD)
• Identify emerging growth opportunities through consumer, market, competitive, and industry insights
• Spearhead global supply chain strategic initiatives, identifying and executing high-impact transformation opportunities across procurement, manufacturing, planning, logistics, and distribution to improve service, profitability, operational resilience, and long-term competitive advantage.
• Ensure growth initiatives and commercial excellence priorities are aligned with enterprise strategy and long-term value creation
• Drive organizational accountability to ensure strategic initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes, value realization, and execution against enterprise priorities

Experiences

• 10+ years of total experience, 7+ years of top-tier strategy consulting experience, or a mix of strategy consulting & “in-house” strategy experience a plus.
• MBA or equivalent preferred
• Preferred experience in investment banking or corporate development
• Stakeholder management experience across all org levels and cross-functional teams, including relevant ELT exposure (external stakeholder management occasionally required)
• Preferred experience previously managing external stakeholders (e.g. consulting teams, etc.)
• Solid people management experience, with ability to build, develop and lead high-performing, demanding and multi-cultural team member profiles for results and engagement
• Global or x-functional experience with knowledge of more than one SGS region/ departments or brands, while not mandatory, is valuable to have a non-biased/ holistic view
• Blend of strategic advisory / consulting & hands-on (operational) work, ideally, with prior exp to BevAlc/ CPG
• Previous exp. leading multiple teams/projects concurrently
• Proven ability to structure and manage ambiguous projects from start to finish

Note

Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $265k-$275k, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset.
