Shift:

Casual Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Future RNs - get your foot in the door at Nebraska's top rated hospital. You can gain hands on experience, gain confidence, learn from experienced RNs and observe clinical skills, critical thinking, and teamwork in real time. After a mandatory training period, we offer flexibility in this role. Most in-patient units available. Open to CNA certified students within the Metro Area Academic Institutions.

**Please only apply to this position if you can meet the following requirements:

- Start date December 14th or 21st
- Mandatory Monday - Thursday orientation/training period for the first week
- Ability to work a minimum of 1 shifts every two weeks (shift flexibility)
- Other requirements as identified

.15FTE (24 hours per month) | Including 12-hour weekend shifts | some holidays required

Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 16 years of age required.

• Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska required.

• Demonstrated effective communication skills required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

• Based on department need, Medication Aide certification and completion of an Injectables course may be required after hire in outpatient settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
