About LEAP

LEAP is the leading provider of Legal Practice Management Solutions in the world and is part of ATI – one of the largest international LegalTech companies. For more than 30 years, our curiosity and commitment to continual improvement has kept us reimagining productivity tools for lawyers and their staff to support our guiding purpose, to ‘Help lawyers who help people’. The market-leading software we develop, and support is used by more than 71,000 lawyers and their staff in small and medium-sized law firms.

Working alongside our international team of passionate high achievers, you’ll join a fast-growing technology business where things seldom stay the same for long. With more than 1000 smart, caring and ambitious ‘LEAPsters’ working together across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Poland and New Zealand, you’ll find yourself in good company here.

Meet the People team

LEAP is more than a global LegalTech leader – we’re a growing group of innovative brands, all united by a mission to make lawyers’ lives easier. Our People team powers this growth by creating the space, support, and empowerment LEAPsters(and our wider group teams) need to do the best work of their careers. From first day to final day, we make every experience count.

About the role

As our Learning & Development Manager, you’ll own LEAP’s learning agenda – setting the strategy, building the roadmap and delivering it. You’ll bring our core capabilities to life, launch our Manager Development Program, stand up a single Learning Management System (LMS), and bring leadership, compliance, onboarding and product training together into one joined-up L&D function.

This is a build role for someone who moves fast and owns the outcome. Reporting to our Chief People Officer, you’ll be the expert in the room – bringing the plan, making the calls and keeping leaders informed and on board. You’ll know when to design and facilitate yourself, when to bring in experts, and how to make a big impact with creative, cost-effective programs.

What you'll do

- Set the L&D strategy – build and own a 12-month L&D roadmap aligned to business priorities, and take it from plan to delivery at pace.

- Bring our Core Capabilities to life – embed LEAP’s Core Capabilities into programs, manager development and everyday people practices.

- Build great managers – design and launch our Manager Development Program, facilitate key sessions and coach leaders to embed learning in their teams.

- Own the LMS – lead the implementation and continuous improvement of a single platform to host, track and report on all learning.

- Build one joined-up L&D function – lead product training, compliance and onboarding learning so every LEAPster gets up to speed quickly and consistently.

- Partner and influence – work with the P&C team, Execs, internal experts (Product, InfoSec, regional teams) and external providers to deliver relevant, scalable solutions.

- Measure and report impact – track participation and effectiveness, and use data to show what’s working, what isn’t and where to invest next.

- Own the budget – plan and deliver programs creatively within financial parameters, finding smart ways to stretch resources further.

What you'll bring

- Proven L&D leadership – you’ve built and owned L&D strategy and programs end to end, ideally in a fast-growing tech or professional services business.

- Bias for action – you move quickly, make decisions with imperfect information, launch, learn and iterate. You don’t wait to be told what’s next.

- Strategy into execution – you turn a big-picture goal into a clear plan, milestones and results, and keep momentum all the way to delivery.

- Clear, compelling communication – you explain ideas simply, build a business case and bring Execs and leaders with you – in writing and in the room.

- Ownership – you hold yourself accountable for outcomes, keep stakeholders updated without being chased, and flag risks early.

- Adult learning expertise – strong grounding in adult learning principles and instructional design, and how to apply them to programs that change behaviour.

- LMS know-how – hands-on experience implementing or managing a Learning Management System, including reporting.

- Facilitation and coaching – a confident facilitator who can engage diverse audiences, from new starters to senior leaders.

- Commercial and creative – resourceful and innovative in delivering high-quality programs within budget.

- Diagnostics certification – ideally in leadership diagnostics such as Human Synergistics (LSI), The Leadership Circle or DiSC.
