Lam Research is a leading global manufacturer of capital equipment used in making leading-edge-semiconductors across the world. We primarily compete in four specific areas – deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean. Lam Research India team is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. One of the major functional group of this entity is LIGHT (Lam India Global Hardware Technology). The LIGHT group, designs subassemblies and subsystems for Lam’s product lines, providing innovation for the next-generation products, providing improvements in cost and reliability There is an opening for the role of Electrical Engineer 1 within the Customer Support Business Group (CSBG) of LIGHT organization. This position will be based out of Bangalore and will closely be working with the Engineering & Cross functional teams across global regions of Lam Research like US & India. CSBG mainly focuses on delivering value to customers throughout the product lifecycle by providing Spares, Upgrades and services to maximize the value of customer capital assets. This high energy individual will focus on development and support for Productivity and Technology Upgrades to our global customers through engineering projects (EPLs/PPLs) for Dextro, Etch & Dep product lines. Deliver against corporate metrics and business objectives while providing timely solutions to global customers. Also, collaborate with various global product and field support teams to address issues.

Who we’re looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

- B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 65% aggregate
- Graduating in 2027 without any backlogs

Your typical day

- Design and development of Electrical/Electronic sub-systems for highly sensitive semiconductor processing equipment.
- Analyze design through simulations and hand calculations.
- Validate design by making prototypes and performing testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for review, approval, and release.
- Participate actively in Idea generation forums and contribute to innovative solutions.
- Understand Lam products, business processes and standards.

You need to know :

- Hands-on projects that include prototyping and assembly.
- Understanding electrical symbols and development of schematic using any CAD package.
- Use of electrical circuit & simulation software.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
