This role is responsible for managing customer orders from receipt through to delivery and invoicing, ensuring commitments are achieved, expectations are exceeded, and customer satisfaction remains at the heart of every interaction. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance teams, you will proactively drive order fulfilment, resolve issues, and continuously seek improvements that enhance both customer experience and business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering an exceptional experience through proactive communication and effective relationship management.
- Manage customer orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring accurate order processing, invoicing, and timely fulfilment using SAP.
- Coordinate with Operations, Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure customer requirements are met and any issues are resolved quickly.
- Monitor order performance, proactively managing risks, delivery schedules, customer enquiries, and issue resolution to maintain high service levels.
- Coordinate export and logistics activities, ensuring shipping documentation, customs requirements, and regulatory compliance are completed accurately.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in customer service, order management, sales administration, or a similar customer-focused operational role.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with customers.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using SAP or other ERP systems would be advantageous.
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment would be beneficial, particularly with knowledge of export processes, international trade compliance, or continuous improvement methodologies.
