Role Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to play a key role in the design and delivery of the new railway section between Bedford and Cambridge. This is an opportunity to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects at the heart of a nationally important programme, working with engineers, environmental specialists, delivery partners and key stakeholders to turn ambition into reality.

- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring effective integration across the wider East West Rail programme.
- Supporting construction planning activities and contractor procurement exercises.
- Managing project interfaces, risks, opportunities and dependencies across a complex stakeholder landscape.
- Working closely with engineering, environmental, commercial and delivery teams to drive informed decision-making.
- Monitoring programme performance and implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Leading collaboration with suppliers, contractors, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
- Providing clear reporting, governance and project assurance to senior leaders.

What you'll bring

You'll be an accomplished project professional with experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, transport or construction projects.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong project management experience across scope, schedule, cost and risk management.
- Experience delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects within demanding environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines.
- Experience planning and managing construction activities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
- A collaborative approach combined with strong commercial awareness and sound judgement.
Why join East West Rail?

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a railway that will serve communities for generations to come.

You'll be joining a team committed to:
- Delivering infrastructure that creates lasting societal value.
- Innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration across disciplines and delivery partners.
- Safety, sustainability and responsible use of public investment.
- Creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

If you're ready to play a leading role in delivering one of the UK's most ambitious transport programmes, we'd love to hear from you.
