The Internship assignment:
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer Intern for General Assembly Shop. As a Data Engineer Intern, you'll collaborate with our data team to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure. Interact with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and address complex data issues.
- Document dashboards and data processing in General Assembly.
- Support data validation, monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure reliable data flows.
- Interact with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and address complex data issues.
- Ability to work with complex data sets in fast paced environment.
- Assist in developing and optimizing ETL. Participate in code reviews to understand collaborative development.
- Strong ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
- Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyse datasets to prepare for evaluation.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
- Support on back-end and front-end development.
- Experience with AI tools and models.
- Typically pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronic engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Strong prompting skills.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python; experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) is a plus.
- Jira and Confluence knowledge.
- Experience in version controlling (GitHub)
- Splunk knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
