Gas Supervisor
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 42.5 hours per week
Salary: £46,412 per annum
In this role, you will oversee planned heating replacement programmes, manage subcontractors and in-house delivery teams, liaise with clients and ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification. You will also be responsible for gas and health & safety audits, mentoring operatives and apprentices, managing risks and coordinating labour, materials and scaffolding requirements.
About the Role:
- Responsible for managing planned heating installation and replacement programmes across domestic and commercial properties.
- Manage planned heating upgrade programmes
- Oversee gas installers, subcontractors and in-house delivery teams
- Carry out surveys and quality inspections
- Ensure compliance with gas safety regulations and industry standards
- Conduct gas safety and health & safety audits
- Liaise with clients and maintain positive stakeholder relationships
- Identify and report risks and compliance concerns
- Arrange labour, materials and scaffolding requirements
- Review invoices and material usage
- Support the development of operatives and apprentices through mentoring and guidance
Key Criteria:
- Experience working on Decent Homes contracts or large planned heating installation programmes
- Knowledge of gas safety regulations, current standards and industry best practice
- Experience working within social housing environments
- Experience supervising operatives and subcontractors
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Positive and proactive approach to work
- Knowledge of local authority maintenance contracts, measured term contracts and schedules of rates
- Experience working in partnership with local authority clients
- Good working knowledge of computerised systems
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to use initiative
- Flexible approach to working hours where required
- Commitment to personal development and training
- Full UK manual driving licence essential
