Job Purpose

To provide day-to-day support for Business Intelligence solutions and automation in WPM Technology applications used by WPM APAC colleagues and stakeholders, following established procedures and quality standards, and contributing to the successful completion of assigned tasks within global and regional projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Build and maintain reports, dashboards and automations using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, Design Studio and Alteryx, following documented standards and templates.

- Action assigned items from the enterprise-wide support request queue in line with agreed prioritization guidelines and SLAs, escalating exceptions to the team lead or manager.

- Apply data quality checks and governance procedures using SQL and Alteryx as defined by the team’s frameworks and flag recurring issues or automation opportunities to the team lead.

- Coordinate with analysts and stakeholders on routine requests, referring to more complex or cross-functional needs to senior team members.

- Communicate clearly with requesters and stakeholders on the status of assigned tickets and projects, escalating risks or delays promptly.

- Keep up to date with relevant tool updates and support the evaluation of new features under the guidance of the team lead.

Requirements

MUST-HAVE Requirements

Education & Experience

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience supporting business intelligence solutions in a shared services or similar environment.

Core Technical Skills

- Working knowledge of the Power BI ecosystem, including DAX and standard data modelling for report and dashboard support.

- Working SQL skills for query writing and routine data checks.

- Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate for supporting existing workflow automations.

- Working knowledge of Alteryx for running and maintaining established data preparation workflows.

Problem-Solving Capabilities

- Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to follow through on assigned issues to resolution, escalating where required.

GOOD-TO-HAVE Requirements

Certifications & Tools

- Certifications in Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx Designer, or related technologies.

- Exposure to Design Studio for supporting existing reporting solutions.

Communication

- Good stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain routine technical items to non-technical requesters.

Automating routine workflows—request routing, data validation, status notifications, approval chains—reduces processing time, minimizes human error, and allows operations staff to focus on higher-value activities. Established Alteryx workflows further streamline data preparation tasks that would otherwise require hours of manual Excel manipulation.

- Data Quality & Governance Assurance By applying systematic data quality checks using SQL and Alteryx, the BI Support Engineer protects the integrity of operational reporting and analytics. Clean data prevents cascading errors in workforce management, client billing, performance tracking, and strategic planning. Flagging recurring data issues and automation opportunities to team leads creates a continuous improvement cycle that progressively reduces operational friction and enhances system reliability.

- Rapid Response to Operational Needs Managing the enterprise-wide support request queue according to SLAs ensures that urgent operational reporting needs—executive dashboards for quarterly reviews, ad-hoc analysis for client escalations, modified reports for new service lines—receive timely attention. This responsiveness prevents bottlenecks that could delay critical business decisions or client communications.

- Real-Time Performance Transparency Clients benefit from professionally designed Power BI dashboards that provide clear, accurate visibility into their facility management operations, work order completion rates, vendor performance, asset utilization, budget tracking, and service level adherence. These visual analytics enable clients to monitor their facilities proactively rather than waiting for monthly reports, fostering confidence in JLL's delivery service.

- Faster Access to Operational Insights Through efficient management of the support request queue, clients receive timely responses to their custom reporting needs—quarterly board presentations, portfolio optimization analysis, budget variance investigations, or lease expiry tracking. This responsiveness demonstrates JLL's commitment to treating data as a strategic asset in the client relationship, not just an administrative obligation.
