WHAT’S NEW WITH APTAR We have an exciting position open in North America: Coordinator III, Molding reporting to the Associate Manager, Low Cavitation and Molding. This position will be based in Auburn, AL.

Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:

Position Summary
The Working Team Leader is responsible for providing daily leadership, direction, and support to team members within the Molding and VIM operations while actively performing production duties. This role ensures safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards are met while serving as the first point of contact for production-related issues during the assigned shift. The Working Team Leader leads by example, promotes employee engagement, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Leadership

- Lead, coach, and support production team members during assigned shifts.

- Serve as the primary shift leader in the absence of management.

- Communicate daily production goals, expectations, and priorities.

- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

- Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate operational updates.

- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.

Production Operations

- Perform daily production tasks while leading the team.

- Ensure production schedules are executed efficiently and safely.

- Monitor machine performance, process flow, and staffing requirements.

- Assist operators in troubleshooting processes, equipment, and material issues.

- Coordinate shift activities to maximize uptime and productivity.

- Support changeovers, startups, and production adjustments as required.

Safety

- Promote and enforce all CSP safety policies and procedures.

- Conduct safety observations and address unsafe conditions immediately.

- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety standards.

- Report accidents, injuries, near misses, and safety concerns to management.

Quality

- Ensure all quality standards, work instructions, and process controls are followed.

- Verify inspections are completed accurately and on schedule.

- Respond quickly to quality concerns and initiate containment activities when necessary.

- Support corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.

Staffing and Communication

- Monitor attendance and communicate staffing concerns to management.

- Assist with shift coverage and resource allocation.

- Maintain effective communication between shifts and departments.

- Complete shift reports and communicate key performance metrics.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

- Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.

- Support waste reduction and cost-saving initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING ON THE JOURNEY

Education
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or manufacturing certifications are preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ manufacturing experience required.
• Prior leadership or team lead experience is preferred.
• Experience in molding, plastics manufacturing, VIM operations, or related processes preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues effectively.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, quality standards, and production documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating continental schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
