Job Description:
The Graduate Sales Engineer role will work alongside the sales teams, dealers, and clients to establish technical requirements for bulk material crushing and screening systems in a customer-facing environment. The role will report to the Product and Applications Manager and will be located in our Durand, MI or Cedar Rapids, IA offices. The position will be responsible for assisting our sales teams, distributors, and end customers in the proper fit and function of Terex MPS products. This position will also play a critical role in planning, organizing, and assisting in new product development.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, recommend, and provide reliable equipment selection to meet customer requirements
- Able to stay up to date on our product range and applications for the best customer experience
- Offer input into new product development to ensure we offer competitive products and services based on market input and distributor feedback
- Deliver pre and post-sales support by assisting with technical advice and assistance to customers and distributors when required
- Able to listen, understand, and convey customer requirements
- Support new product development as required by working with product manager to offer best in class products
- Assist with / perform tests, startups and training services
- Prepare technical specifications in line with customer requirements to ensure products meet expectations
- Preparation of technical recommendations, aggregate flow analysis, and plant optimization
- Complete any special projects as required. May be assigned to other areas based on business or customer requirements.
- Able to travel up to 15% of the time including overnight and possibly international travel
Basic Qualifications
- Engineering degree or related experience.
- 2+ years aggregate or mining equipment experience
- Entry‑level role; experience may include internships, co‑ops, or academic projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Aggflow experience or exposure
- Application of crushing and screening equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft office products
- Proven attention to detail and a strong team player with proven experience of working collaboratively with a range of departments
- Problem solving and time management skills required.
- Highly proficient in communicating on the phone and email in a professional and timely manner
