Join the Crew at Maine Oxy – Counter Sales
Maine Oxy is looking for a hard-working, hands-on Counter Sales Rep to join our shop in Milford, MA. If you like working with your hands, helping customers, and learning new skills in the welding and industrial gas world, this could be a great fit. Theres plenty of room to grow here—well teach you the ropes.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Put safety first. Always.
- Help customers at the counter—answer questions, solve problems, and get them what they need
- Learn the products so you can give solid advice (dont worry, well train you)
- Pitch in wherever needed—this is a team shop
- Handle basic paperwork and keep things organized
- Step up and help run the store when the managers out
- Work with regular customers and build good relationships
- Help price out jobs, put together quotes, and support the sales team
- Fix issues when they come up—keep customers happy
- Stock shelves, label products, and keep the place looking sharp
- Help set up displays, assemble equipment, and even show customers how things work

Qualifications
What Were Looking For:
- Someone reliable who shows up ready to work
- Good with people and not afraid to talk shop
- Willing to learn and get your hands dirty
- Team player with a strong work ethic
What Helps (But We Can Teach You):
- Experience with welding or industrial gases is a big plus
- Any kind of sales or customer-facing work
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, or shop products
- Comfortable using a handheld device (we use Zebra scanners—easy to learn)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
What the Job Is Like (Physical Stuff):
- Youll be on your feet a good part of the day—some sitting, some standing, lots of moving around
- Lifting is part of the deal—anywhere from 25 up to 75 lbs now and then
