Senior Registered Nurse - Pre Assessment

Salary: Up to £44,900.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Senior Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Pre Assessment department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
- Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary.
- Provide day-to-day supervision and support to nursing and healthcare assistant staff.
- Support the learning and development of students, junior nurses, and new team members through mentoring, coaching, and clinical supervision.
- Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures.
- Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of clinical assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
- Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team.
- Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Confidence in working independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
