SUMMARY
The Mailroom and Copy Center Clerk supports the daily operations of one location including any or all of the following: receiving/delivering/shipping packages, sorting/delivering/metering mail, producing print & copy jobs, and taking/filling orders from internal customers. Provides overall Mailroom/Copy Center tasks by presenting a professional appearance including extraordinary customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
COPY CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates print production gear, including direct print and multi-functional printer equipment.
- Performs basic troubleshooting of print gear, including acting as first responder to customer service call requests via Support Desk notification(s).
- Generates detailed service requests to assigned service provider, ensuring vendor SLA’s are met or exceeded and internal service ticket is updated with all relevant information.
- Ensures internal print & copy areas are neat and well stocked with supplies.
- Prints, copies, distributes submitted requests from internal customers via hardcopy and/or electronically.
MAILROOM RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives, sorts, delivers US Mail and related materials to designated drop-off areas.
- Operates mail/postage meter, sorts outgoing mail according to target destinations.
- Performs basic troubleshooting of mail/postage meter. May involve initiating direct service request(s) to service provider(s) and supplying internal Support Desk with detailed notes for call logging.
- Receives, sorts, delivers all incoming packages from common carriers, freight companies, delivery trucks, etc.. Notates damage (if applicable) and piece count.
- Processes outbound packages via common carrier.
- Escorts outside vendors as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work within a team as well as work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal departments on issues.
- Present a customer-oriented image of professionalism and service satisfaction while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of computer operation, including Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft O365 knowledge a plus. .
- Experience operating online shipping services such as UPS Online preferred.
- Previous experience in a mailroom operation, shipping, and/or receiving preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating mail/postage meter and production printers preferred.
- Experience working in a Mailroom, Copy Center, and/or Reprographics preferred.

- Evenings, nights, and weekend shifts may be required to fulfill the needs of the business.
