About the Role
Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Manager of Delivery to join our Digital team in Bethesda, MD. As the Senior Manager of Delivery, you will lead strategy, execution, and growth of same-day delivery and other digital fulfillment initiatives across 270+ retail locations. You will manage a team and work cross-functionally with marketing, technology, store teams, and vendors to scale omni-channel programs, optimize operations, and drive profitability. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing customer experience, fulfillment efficiency, and business performance in a rapidly evolving retail environment. This role reports to the VP, Delivery and Marketplaces.
You will
- Build the long-term vision, roadmap, and growth strategy for Total Wine’s delivery program, identifying opportunities to expand capabilities, improve performance, and enhance customer experience.
- Drive execution of the delivery strategy by translating business priorities into actionable plans, measurable goals, and cross-functional initiatives that support continued growth of the delivery business.
- Lead and influence a team of 1–2 analysts responsible for delivery performance reporting, business analysis, forecasting, and execution support.
- Align delivery program priorities with broader business objectives by partnering with Store Operations, Digital, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and external vendor partners.
- Spearhead analysis of key performance indicators, customer behavior, operational trends, industry best practices, and the competitive landscape to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Champion effective last-mile fulfillment and delivery strategies that optimize operational efficiency, delivery speed, cost management, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery operations by identifying process gaps, evaluating root causes, and implementing scalable solutions that improve the end-to-end delivery experience.
- Own and lead relationships with delivery service vendors, influencing performance outcomes, managing business reviews, and ensuring operational standards and service-level expectations are consistently met.
You will come with
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Analytics, or a related field preferred or equivalent years of experience
- 7-10 years retail eCommerce experience preferred
- Operations, delivery, last-mile logistics, or supply-chain management
- 3-6 years Leadership or people-management role
- Proven experience building, scaling, or optimizing delivery programs—preferably in retail, e-commerce, logistics, or high-volume fulfillment environments
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills with the ability to interpret complex data, synthesize insights, and inform strategy
- Leading teams and managing direct reports
- Strong planning, analytical and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of driving expansion, growth and improvement of business programs
- Self-directed and highly driven with a strong business sense and professional presence
