Salary: 1900 - 2650 EUR/month gross (before tax) based on your competencies, skills, and experience.

Schedule: 0,75 - 1 FTE (30 - 40 hours/week)

What you'll be doing
As a Polish Accountant, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting activities for our clients in accordance with Polish accounting and tax regulations. You will manage accounting processes independently, ensure accurate and timely financial records, and communicate directly with clients and public authorities on accounting-related matters.
How you'll spend your day
- Handling day-to-day accounting activities in accordance with Polish accounting regulations.
- Recording and reviewing purchase and sales invoices, bank transactions, payments, and other accounting entries.
- Collecting, verifying, and processing financial and administrative documentation to ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Performing balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with Polish accounting requirements.
- Preparing VAT and other required tax declarations and reports.
- Communicating directly with clients regarding accounting matters, missing documentation, deadlines, and accounting requirements.
- Communicating with Polish public authorities and supporting clients in responding to accounting- and tax-related requests.
- Supporting audits and cooperating with external partners such as auditors, tax advisors, and authorities.
- Sharing accounting knowledge, best practices, and experience with colleagues.
You'll be successful if you have
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Polish accounting.
- A college or university degree in Accounting.
- At least a Level 1 accounting certification.
- Good knowledge of Polish accounting regulations and practical bookkeeping principles.
- Fluency in Polish is required.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Confidence in communicating directly with clients and Polish public authorities.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good MS Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Interview process
As part of the first interview, candidates will be asked to demonstrate their financial knowledge through a few targeted questions and a short verbal task. The task is designed to assess your understanding of bookkeeping theory and your ability to apply core accounting principles in practical scenarios.
