About this role
About Incision
Operating rooms are under pressure. Staffing shortages, increasing procedural complexity, and growing demand for care make it harder than ever for hospitals to keep perioperative teams prepared and supported.
At Incision, we help hospitals improve how perioperative teams access knowledge, learn, and perform. Incision Assist helps surgical teams work with greater confidence and consistency by providing instant access to the information they need before and during procedures. Through MySPD and Academy, we support sterile processing and perioperative professionals with practical, accredited education that strengthens knowledge and performance across the surgical pathway.
Today, hospitals in more than 20 countries use Incision to onboard staff faster, preserve critical knowledge, strengthen team collaboration, and improve operational performance.

Why we're hiring
We are entering an exciting new phase of growth. As adoption of Incision Assist accelerates, we are investing heavily in product innovation, AI-powered knowledge delivery, and expanding our commercial presence in one of the world's most competitive healthcare technology markets.
As an IT Operations Specialist at Incision, you will provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support and manage our internal IT tools. Alongside day-to-day support, you will take ownership of improving IT processes and coordinating ongoing ISO 27001 compliance activities.
You will report to our IT Manager and work closely with our IT Specialist in Cairo. With their support, you will turn policies into practical processes that colleagues can follow and help prepare for future initiatives such as SOC 2 and HIPAA. This role suits someone who takes initiative and can drive agreed improvements independently.
Your role
IT support and operations
- Provide onsite support in Amsterdam and remote support globally, resolving hardware, software, account access, SaaS, and network issues.
- Manage and prioritise tickets, keeping colleagues informed and coordinating handovers with the wider IT team.
- Administer Google Workspace and other business applications, managing accounts, permissions, and settings.
- Handle IT onboarding and offboarding, ensuring colleagues have the access they need and that access is removed promptly when they leave.
- Contribute to projects in the IT roadmap, helping deliver new tools, improvements to the IT environment, and automation initiatives.
- Use our IT management tools to deploy software, apply updates, manage encryption, and maintain endpoint protection across Windows and macOS devices.
- Prepare and configure devices for colleagues, maintain asset records and coordinate the return of company equipment.
Process creation and improvement
- Identify gaps where policies lack a working process, and create practical procedures with clear owners, steps, and requirements.
- Improve processes such as onboarding, offboarding, access reviews, asset management, vendor reviews, and change management.
- Work with other teams to introduce agreed processes, check they are followed, and address gaps with the IT Manager.
- Keep guidance usable and up to date, and automate repetitive work where it reduces effort or improves consistency.
Security and compliance
- Coordinate ISO 27001 compliance, evidence collection, control monitoring, and follow-up actions using Vanta.
- Work with control owners to track access reviews, vendor reviews, risk treatment actions, and remediation of control gaps.
- Support audits by preparing evidence, coordinating requests, and following through on corrective actions with the IT Manager.
- Play a key role in future SOC 2 and HIPAA initiatives through gap assessments, process development, and implementation of agreed controls.
What you'll bring
- At least 3 years of experience in IT support, IT operations, or a similar role, with the ability to manage day-to-day work independently.
- Practical experience supporting users across Windows and macOS, with strong troubleshooting skills and a service-focused approach.
- Experience administering Google Workspace or a similar cloud productivity platform, and managing devices through RMM or MDM tools.
- Hands-on experience supporting ISO 27001, SOC 2, or a comparable security compliance framework, including controls, evidence, and audit preparation.
- Experience creating or improving IT processes and turning policy requirements into procedures that people can use.
- Ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive agreed improvements through to completion without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Good organisation and judgement: able to balance support requests, planned improvements, and compliance deadlines within a part-time schedule.
- Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical and compliance requirements to non-technical colleagues.
- Strong collaboration skills and confidence working with colleagues across different teams, locations, and time zones.
- Experience within healthcare technology or healthcare services is strongly preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with Vanta or a similar compliance management platform.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and its relevance to a healthcare technology environment.
