Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Position Summary:

Seeking an individual with strong Python skills, with Structured Notes domain knowledge preferred. The candidate will be responsible for leading delivery of pricing and booking functionality, critical to the continued buildout of our Structured Notes functionality.

Responsibilities:

- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
- Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
- Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
- Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Develop a thorough understanding of our entire technology stack
- Design and develop new features within existing Python services; create new services to expand the overall framework
- Contribute to future design and architecture
- Plan work in an agile manner with other team members
- Write acceptance tests in coordination with QA

Required Qualifications

- 7+ year of technology development experience and specifically 3+ years of experience in development of front-office equities derivatives systems. (Previous experience of working with SN and SP is a plus.)
- Computer science or equivalent degree
- Demonstrable experience of having designed and developed complex server-side functionality in Python
- SQL - preferably Oracle
- Shell scripting and basic Unix knowledge desirable
- Proficient in writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Comfortable in an agile working environment
- Self-starter and proactive

Desired Qualifications

- Experience with modern web UI technologies; HTML5, React, RESTful services, Websockets
- Knowledge of Structured Products (Notes, Warrants, Certificates)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$88,800.00 - $144,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
