Who You Are:
We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Sales Counselor. This person will have a genuine interest in working with older adults and be able to engage, motivate, and support both residents and fellow team members. Essential Functions:

- Thoroughly familiarize with and assist in implementation of all elements of the project’s Marketing Plan, including an understanding of our mission, values and vision.

- Professional sales disciplines:

- Direct contact with prospective residents in teleselling

- Personal written communications with prospective residents

- In-home visits and presentations

- On-site presentations

- Diligent professional follow-up activities

- Participate in all prospect cultivation/educational meetings, special events and seminars.

- Attendance in weekly sales meetings to discuss sales strategies, reporting, and evaluation.

- Intensive/ongoing communications with prospective and future residents.

- Generating leads through implementing aggressive prospective resident referrals, referrals from prospective residents or prospects on the Future Residency Program, staff, friends, Trustees, churches and synagogues, and other constituencies.

- Participation in a tele-selling program with a goal of making an average of ten or more completed calls per day. Make reports weekly to the Marketing Consultant (Spectrum).

- Enter all activities and prospect information into the marketing information system (REPS). Manage contacts, scheduled activities and “to-dos” in the database and provide statistics needed for reporting from the marketing information system.

- Make eight in-home visits per month with prospective residents within accessible driving distances.  Make weekly reports to the Marketing Consultant.

- Learn to qualify prospects on the basis of age, wealth, health, propensity to move and emotional engagement.

- Make an average of sixteen (4 per week) on-site presentations per month to qualified prospects.  Make reports weekly to the Marketing Consultant.

- Accomplish an average gross sale to presentation ratio wherein one sale is made out of every six presentations to qualified prospects each month.

- Be familiar with and participate as requested in the Admissions process, review, and the development of its policies and procedures.

- Assist the Move-in Coordinator with activities related to the move-in process.

- Attend Marketing Advisory Committee meetings.

- Participation in sales training and self-improvement activities.

- Responsible for operating within assigned budget.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- BA strongly preferred with a background in marketing and sales preferred

- Minimum of 3-5 years experience, directly related to the duties and responsibilities required.

- Excellent communications skills including personal presentations and teleselling.

- Become proficient with Marketing Information System (REPS)

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures

- Proficiency in office systems with specific skills in Microsoft Office

- Ability to travel locally
